TAMPA, Florida–()–execution machine (“EXM”) launched in beta this week as a major milestone for developers looking to build decentralized applications in Web3, who might not otherwise have blockchain experience or the ability to do so. TO DO. EXM leverages serverless permanent functions, or “lambda” technology, to provide a code-agnostic environment for rapidly developing permaweb applications. It is an emerging blockchain technology that has garnered considerable attention and interest in recent weeks.

Andres Pirela, founder of EXM and lead developer of the Arweave ecosystem, was featured in Forbes earlier this year as part of a team leveraging blockchain technology and permanent storage to preserve archives and information related to the Ukrainian conflict. Mr. Pirela is excited about the potential of EXM to bring developers to the Web3 experience at scale: “Execution Machine is designed for developers of all backgrounds to provide low-code, verifiable, serverless computing for quickly build apps without trust, including developer tools and everyday use cases for consumers.”

The project is the first to be launched publicly by Community laboratoriesa native software development company and venture capital studio supporting the Arweave ecosystem. Community Labs has partnered with Mr. Pirela and supported EXM as the value proposition supports their commitment to drive adoption of Arweave’s persistent storage and application layer.

Tate Berenbaum, co-founder and CEO of Community Labs, worked with Mr. Pirela in the development of EXM: “We are delighted to support Andres in his work on defining a new way to build permaweb applications while allowing Web2 developers to take advantage of the widely used lambda technology via EXM.

EXM is important for Web3 adoption because Web2 developers pay attention to blockchain technology and think about real-world use cases. EXM is a basic development tool that enables mass adoption and could replace the existing Web3 protocol infrastructure related to centralized computing. The future is bright with Mr. Pirela and the EXM team bridging the gap with the estimated 25-30 million developers worldwide, all of whom will be looking to migrate to the Programmable Internet in the next few years.

About the runtime machine

Execution Machine (EXM) is a software development platform and runtime environment that enables developers of any background or experience to build applications without relying on Web3. EXM leverages serverless permanent functions, or “lambda” technology, to provide a code-agnostic environment for rapidly developing permaweb applications. EXM is supported by Community laboratoriesan Arweave native software development company and a product and protocol development studio built on the permaweb.

About Community Labs

Community laboratories is an Arweave native software development company and product and protocol development studio built on the permaweb. Community Labs is inspired by software development company Ethereum ConsenSys and focuses on developing foundational level infrastructure for the next thousands of developers and millions of users of Arweave’s permanent storage blockchain. Tate Berenbaum, co-founder and CEO, has relied on Arweave since 2019 and has experience bringing several foundational protocols to market.
