NFT Portfolio Tracking App, Floor, Has Acquired NFT analytics platform, WGMI.io for an undisclosed amount. Over the next few months, Floor will integrate some of WGMI’s deep analytics features into the application.
Launched in 2021, Floor is currently a token-secured app that allows users to track their portfolios and add collections to their watchlist to receive price alerts. Other app features include private viewing modes, live activity for collections, and support for multiple wallets.
Following the acquisition, WGMI founder Thomas Mancini joined Floor full-time. Floor will consolidate the capabilities of both platforms and expand the team and reach of WGMI to over 10,000 active Floor users.
WGMI and Floor will increasingly share functionality and code, but will remain separate products. This shared code will power new features in the Floor app such as per-stroke pricing and extend content from Floor’s Content Platform to WGMI.
WGMI NFT holders will have full access to all Floor features at no additional cost. WGMI NFT holders received an invite to the Floor app. To access the app, NFT holders can simply log in with the wallet containing their WGMI NFT. Floor Genesis token holders can also access WGMI by logging into wgmi.io.
Additionally, the WGMI Discord community will move to Floor Discord in the coming weeks, with channels dedicated to WGMI topics. All WGMI support will be unified into the Floor Support Platform, allowing users of both platforms to reach Floor’s support team for faster responses and better tracking of feature requests.
This news comes after Floor announcement an $8 million seed fundraiser last June. The startup was co-founded by Chris Maddern, former Buttons co-founder and mobile head at Venmo, Christine Brown, formerly COO of Crypto at Robinhood, and Sid Dabral former Button co-founder.
Since its launch, Floor has partnered with top notch projects like doodles and Evidence to provide access to NFT holders and allow them to broadcast app invites to friends to onboard them to the platform.
January 6, Maddern tweeted that Floor app users have made over 15,000 ETH of NFT, which is $18 million or 8% of OpenSea volume. Floor claims that a total of 22,000 crypto wallets have logged into its app to track their assets.
